Muehlhausen Aquatic Center Closing for Season; Splashpad open till Labor Day

The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department has announced that the last day of operation for open swimming at the Muehlhausen Aquatic Center is Sunday, August 3rd .  All season passes purchased during the 2025 season that have not been fully used, will be honored in 2026.  Sunday, August 3^rd,  admission is free to the public.

The timing of the closure of the Muehlhausen Aquatic Center is necessary for several reasons:

• The focus of the community is the new school year beginning on August 6th;
• Lifeguarding staff are largely high school students who also go back to school, and often their extracurricular commitments make them unavailable for lifeguarding;
• Our annual budget does not allow for us to maintain the pool chemicals, and water/electric costs for any additional time.

For those that still want to cool off, the Splash Pad at Muehlhausen Park will remain open through Labor Day, September 1st.
