April Parks Board Meeting Agenda

The Logansport Parks & Recreation Board will be meeting on Wednesday, April 9th at 5:30 p.m.  All meetings are open to the public and will be held at the Council Chambers in the City Building (located at 601 E. In old business, the Parks Board will be renewing leases for the Cass County Men’s Softball, Logansport Community Baseball, Logansport Babe Ruth, and Tony Palmer dba Sports Hideout Foundation. 

In new business, the Parks Board will consider 2 resolutions: Parks Board Resolution 25-04 to rename the lower pavilion at Spencer Park the Eel River Pavilion; AND, Parks Board Resolution 25-05 to support the effort to submit a Land & Water Conservation Fund grant application for up to $1 million to renovate Riverside Playground, accessibility, parking, and river access.  The public is encouraged to comment on the current plans for the Phase 2 Riverside Park Improvement Plan.

Updates will also be shared on the Capital Improvements Plan for 2026-2030, the Heritage Park Fountain, the ADA Assessment, and the Arrowhead RC & D grant for Huston Park.  Updates from staff will include summer programming, security camera installation, Fairview Restrooms, and the Dykeman Park Golf Course Clubhouse Project and additional work being done there.
