Patriot Park Playground Removal Begins July 22nd

The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department has announced that removal of the Patriot Park Playground will begin starting the week of July 22nd. The current playground which was originally built in 2002, will be removed, except for the swings.  The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the week.  All demolition work is weather permitting. 

This playground has been determined by the Logansport Parks & Recreation Department to be in very poor condition, and is no longer in compliance with industry safety standards.  Parks Maintenance Staff will be removing the equipment themselves, saving the community the cost of hiring a demolition company.

Parks Administrator Janet Fawley requests that the public keep out of the designated demolition area until the work has been completed.  The neighborhood is encouraged to utilize the playgrounds at either Franklin School or Columbia Elementary School.
