The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department/ Foundation is very pleased to announce an additional significant private gift to the Clubhouse Project for the Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Course. Logansport’s own Security Federal Savings Bank has pledged $150,000 to be invested in the new clubhouse at Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Course.
Annette Russell, President & CEO of Security Federal Savings Bank has said this about their generous commitment: “Security Federal Savings Bank prioritizes contributions dedicated to education and wellness programs in all communities we serve. As a mutually owned bank our Board of Directors has committed to donating 10% of our earnings back into the region serviced by our seven locations. We’re proud to be a major sponsor of the clubhouse project to continue improving the quality of life in Logansport, where we were founded 90 years ago.”
Security Federal has a history of supporting not only various golf fundraisers, but many Parks projects. Many of the organization fundraisers held at Dykeman Park Golf Course can claim Security Federal Savings Bank as a key sponsor of their golfing event. Security Federal has provided sponsorships for Christmas In the Park, the Security Federal Savings Bank Community Pavilion at Fairview Park, and a maintenance endowment for Huston Park. This gift of $150,000 is by far the largest commitment that they have ever made to the City of Logansport Parks & Recreation Department. The Logansport Parks & Recreation Foundation Board and the Parks Board are very grateful for their commitment to improving Logansport’s quality of life through their ongoing contributions to the parks in our community.
At its June 2023 meeting, The City of Logansport Common Council voted in favor of supporting Ordinance 2023-13, in which they pledged a $1 million investment in the construction of the new clubhouse at Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Course. The Council’s commitment is conditional upon additional private funds being raised.

The goal to build the Dykeman Clubhouse requires funds to be raised totaling at least $3 million, AND to build it by the Spring of 2026 – the 100th anniversary of the Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Course. The opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary in a new clubhouse at Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Couse in 2026 would create an historic and memorable stage for the NEXT 100 years of the Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Couse in Logansport.
The Logansport Parks & Recreation Foundation has recruited Brad Rozzi to lead a committee of citizens to publicly & privately raise the necessary funds to build a new structure. Members of the Dykeman Clubhouse Fundraising Committee include Michael Bowditch, Tammy Helvie, Brannon Meagher, Chad Higgins, Chuck LaDow, Kyle Smith, Golf Course Manager & Pro, Dean Vietti, and Parks Administrator, Janet Fawley.
