The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department/ Foundation is very pleased to announce an additional significant private gift to the Clubhouse Project for the Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Course. Kurt and Emily Brandstatter, as the owners of Central Paving, Inc. have pledged $100,000 as an investment toward the clubhouse project.
Kurt Brandstatter who owns Central Paving Inc., stated: “Logansport and surrounding Cass County is very fortunate to have such a beautiful golf course for its community to enjoy. There really is no municipal course for miles around that you can compare it to. We feel so fortunate to invest in such a wonderful project that will certainly be enjoyed by the community for many years to come. My wife and I, along with all our employees at Central Paving, Inc., are beyond excited to support this new facility for our community. Our hope is that this new facility will reward and leave a lasting impact on all who use it!”
Kurt and Dr. Emily Brandstatter both grew up in Cass County and graduated from Logansport High School. Kurt has owned Central Paving, Inc. since 2014. Emily is an Optometrist at Midwest Eye Consultants. They have three children together, Evan, Drew and Ella.
Kurt spent a lot of time as a child at Dykeman Park and has fond memories of former Golf Pro Bob Rothgeb, Carl Miller, who worked behind the counter, and of course his LHS golf coach, Bob Bannon. These great guys, along with many other regular golfers, left Kurt with lasting memories as a child. Now Kurt & Emily’s children are following in those same footsteps, as they can often be found out on the course.
Central Paving has a history of supporting various golf fundraisers, and other Parks projects. Central Paving has provided sponsorships for Christmas In the Park and the Wright Street Bark Park. The Logansport Parks & Recreation Foundation Board and the Parks Board are very grateful for their commitment to improving Logansport’s quality of life through their ongoing contributions to the parks in our community.
At its June 2023 meeting, The City of Logansport Common Council voted in favor of supporting Ordinance 2023-13, in which they pledged a $1 million investment in the construction of the new clubhouse at Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Course. The Council’s commitment is conditional upon additional private funds being raised.

The goal to build the Dykeman Clubhouse requires funds to be raised totaling at least $3 million, AND to build it by the Spring of 2026 – the 100th anniversary of the Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Course. The opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary in a new clubhouse at Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Couse in 2026 would create an historic and memorable stage for the NEXT 100 years of the Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Couse in Logansport.
The Logansport Parks & Recreation Foundation has recruited Brad Rozzi to lead a committee of citizens to publicly & privately raise the necessary funds to build this new structure as well as additional improvements at Dykeman Park Golf Course. Members of the Dykeman Clubhouse Fundraising Committee include Michael Bowditch, Tammy Helvie, Brannon Meagher, Chad Higgins, Chuck LaDow, Kyle Smith, Golf Course Manager & Pro, Dean Vietti, and Parks Administrator, Janet Fawley.
