Christmas In the Park Drive Thru Open for Christmas Week

The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department will keep Christmas In the Park open to vehicle traffic on December 23rd & 24th. Christmas In the Park is usually closed to vehicle traffic to allow for pedestrians on Mondays and Tuesdays.  But due to the Christmas holiday, the park will be open for vehicles to drive through.  Then walk-thru nights will once again be available the two nights before New Year’s Day.   

The separation of walk-thru and drive-thru nights in the park is done to maintain safety for pedestrians when drivers have their lights off while circling the park.

Before you go, some things to know:

•    Entrance into the park has returned to High Street--the normal entrance into Spencer Park. As you enter Christmas In the Park, drive slowly, and don’t pull over in any parking areas.  People MUST remain in their vehicles for their own safety.  

•    Free will donations are gratefully accepted at any one of the 3 locations available throughout the park.

•    No volunteers will be on duty.  

•    Holospex are being sponsored by Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Kokomo and the Cass County Community Foundation. Holospex will be available at the Park Office, Ferbaugh’s, Bonus Pints, Hometown Health, Pear Tree Gallery, the Pharos Tribune, and McCord’s Do-It-Best Center. 

•    Daytime park users should plan to park their vehicles on the north side of High Street or near the lower pavilion to utilize the park. The Parks Department has requested that park users please stay away from the Christmas décor in the Park.  Once again, it could pose a danger due to guy wires as well as electrical wires.
