Logansport Parks to Host “Total Eclipse of the Sun” Event

The Logansport Parks & Recreation Department is hosting a “Total Eclipse of the Sun” event. Total Eclipse of the Sun will be held at Huston Park, Monday, April 8th from 2-4 pm.

This family event will feature DJ Jimmy Wright, a live broadcast with Iron Horse Broadcasting’s Matthew Paul, Kona Ice, snacks, and activities for kids. Free solar eclipse viewing glasses will be available to the first 750 participants.

Logansport is NOT in the path of totality, but Huston Park will still afford an opportunity to view this once-in-a-lifetime occurrence. This event is free to the public. Eclipse viewing glasses are being provided by the Cass County Visitor’s Bureau and Security Federal Savings Bank.
