Parks Launch New Interactive Software on May 18th
May 14, 2020 at 4:10 p.m.
This new software will allow citizens greater visibility into park activities, including classes or sports, and more convenient online registration and payment. It will also allow users to search for and reserve community facilities, such as pavilions and indoor locations- all conveniently online. In addition, users will be able to utilize debit or credit cards to pay for park services through the new software.
The CivicRec solution is designed to be easy to use. It is mobile-friendly, allowing users to search for community activities and events, register, and remit payment--even from a smartphone or tablet.
Parks Administrator Janet Fawley is excited about the benefits of the new system: “Park users will now have the option to immediately evaluate a program or facility through an automatic survey. The community will also receive more defined communications from the parks department to individual customers. But most importantly, people will now have the ability to take care of business from a computer at home, at work or on the go. The traditional face-to-face interactions at the Parks Office will continue to be available, but we wanted to provide another option for busy people.”
As the department launches the new software, look for the “Parks Make Life Better” Tent in different parks during the next few weeks, where a staff member will be able to help people get signed up!
