In 2003, the Parks Board renamed the combined land of the former Front St. Park and McKinley Park as Patriot Park, to honor all those who died from the attack on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. This 5 acre park includes a playground, swings, water fountain and two basketball courts. In addition, easy foot access for fishing in the Eel River is available.
