In following Governor Holcomb’s Executive Orders, the Logansport Parks will be re-opening facilities during these next 2-3 weeks. Social distancing requirements and sanitation measures shall be observed to the greatest extent possible as these facilities re-open.  Opening dates for various park facilities are as follows:

May 26th:  The Logansport Parks Office at Smith & Dividend Streets will be open to the public, weekdays from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. We will enforce socially distance limitations, as well as requiring visitors to wear a face mask to protect our employees.

June 1 – what opens in Logansport Parks:

  • Restrooms;
  • Miniature golf at Riverside Park;
  • Softball/Baseball practices – no games, no fans in stands;
  • The Clubhouse at the Dykeman Park Municipal Golf Course is fully operational;
  • Shuffleboard & Horsehoes.

June 8- what opens in Logansport Parks

  • McHale Complex and the Old Carousel Pavilion at Riverside Park
  • Huston Park Picnic Pavilion
  • Dykeman Park Picnic Pavilion
  • Muehlhausen Park Picnic Pavilion
  •  Muehlhausen Aquatic Center, with limitations that include:
    • maximum of 100 people, based on occupancy numbers in accordance with Back On Track IN Stages.
    • Face coverings are recommended upon  entering/exiting pool. No face coverings in the water!
    • Visitors should come ready to swim, and keep valuables at home; Changing room and basket room will be closed. 
    • Visitors must bring their own chairs;
    • Visitors are required to maintain social distancing in and out of pool.
    • Do not come to the pool if you’re feeling sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
    • Keep your hands clean by washing regularly with soap and water, or using 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
    • The Splash Pad will remain closed.

What remains closed in the Logansport Parks:

  • Drinking Fountains;
  • Pavilions in Fairview & Spencer Parks;
  • Playgrounds & Muehlhausen Splashpad;
  • Basketball Courts;
  • Soccer fields @ Huston.
